Julia Empey – Osteopath

My name is Julia and I am an osteopath based in Hackney, East London. I graduated from The London School of Osteopathy and I am registered with the regulatory body The General Osteopathic Council (GOsC), registration number 9269. I am fully insured through the Institute of Osteopathy (iO). I have a postgraduate qualifications in Medical Acupuncture (which I use as an adjunct to osteopathy in clinic) and in Animal Osteopathy. I do not provide animal appointments in the Hackney clinic, these are separate.

I am lucky enough to be involved in the education of future osteopaths at The London School of Osteopathy, where I am a Clinic Tutor in the college clinic, supervising, supporting and encouraging students to apply their knowledge and experience within a real patient focussed clinic environment. I am also teaching lead for the first year technique classes and an examiner for various year groups.

Osteopaths take a holistic approach to treatment and care of patients. We use a combination of movement, stretching, targeted deep tissue massage and manipulation of a person’s muscles and joints to improve function, relieve pain and aid recovery. Osteopathy can be used to help a wide range of musculoskeletal issues, striving to improve patients’ quality of life; helping them improve mobility and reduce pain.

It is advised to wear comfortable clothing to the appointment.

Initial Assessment: £60 (45 mins)
Follow up appointments: £50 (30-45mins)

Cancellation policy: We understand that you may require to cancel or rearrange your appointment. We request that you give a minimum of 24hrs notice to cancel your appointment so that we have a chance to reallocate your appointment to another patient. Late cancellations or missed appointments will incur a cancellation charge.
